Did you know? Lower methionine levels in pregnancy have been associated with neural tube defects, just the same as low folic acid levels.

Tips: During methionine supplementation, intake of taurine, cysteine and other sulphur-containing amino acids, as well as P5P and folate/folinic acid should also be included.

Pure amino acid powders may be slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping.

L-Methionine 150g Powder

RRP $49.95 $43.71

L-Methionine is an essential amino acid, found in foods not commonly eaten by vegans or vegetarians.

It contributes to the synthesis of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe), needed for normal brain function, and L-Cysteine, a component of glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant.

L-Methionine helps to break down fats and assists with choline production and transport of selenium and zinc. Cells in the liver and kidneys especially need this amino acid for regeneration.

Signs of L-Methionine deficiency include poor skin tone, hair loss and impaired elimination or regeneration.

Ingredients: pure pharmaceutical-grade L-methionine. (One 5ml metric teaspoon = 2000mg)
